  1. Load the stocking. 5–8 familiar objects go in while the guesser looks away.
  2. Reach, don’t peek. One hand in, eyes on the ceiling.
  3. Describe first. Hard or soft? Big or small? Cold? Bumpy?
  4. Guess and reveal. Name it, pull it out, celebrate or laugh, then next object.
  5. Swap roles. The child restocks the stocking and enjoys absolute power over your guessing.
